SupremeCF: You came into SCF and immediately let your presence be known by calling out the then MW champ Gilberto Dos Santos. What was the strategy behind doing that when you didn't even have a fight yet?

Steals: Well, when I came into the SCF I wanted my name out there right away. I know I went about it a little crazy, but I wanted to be one of those fighters that put fans in the stands. Now whether they hated me or loved me was irrelevent, just as long as they tuned in or came to see if I won or lost. The more valuable you are the longer you stick around, ya know? So I called out Dos Santos, it not only got my name out there, but it also is building up some great hype for when we really do meet up in the cage. I am betting that we have record attendance and PPV buys the night we fight to see if I can deliver on what my mouth has started. *laughs*

SupremeCF: Well I must say, your plan did work, you definately got your name out there, but why Dos Santos, why not a fighter closer to your skill set?

Steals: It had to be the Champ, well the champ at the time. The way the fans would see it is, here is this crazy newbie calling out the champ and not only did he call him out but GUARANTEED a victory? Oh hell ya I am definately watching that one.

SupremeCF: I see your point. *chuckles* So since losing your debut fight you have been on a three fight win streak how do you feel about that and when do you think you deserve a title shot??

Steals: Oh I feel great. I started training with LW Champ Arnold Hemingway, and it has paid off in dividends. I also train with James Boltz, William Foster and Carl Frazier. Carl has had tons of experience in MMA and that is really valuable to me. James is more like Arnold, a stand up specialist, which you saw by his brutal KO of his last opponent. Foster is more of a ground and pound kinda guy, and Carl, he has great submissions and can fight just about anywhere, like me. I pattern myself after Carl. As far as the title, I will fight for it when they say I can fight for it. Hopefully it will be soon tho.

SupremeCF: So when does the hype quit and we finally get to see Steals VS Dos Santos??

Steals: I will fight Gilberto anytime the SCF wants me to. I expect a great fight and one that the fans will certainly not forget for a long time. I want to thank all my training partners and wish a good luck to Carl Frazier in his debut fight and as well to Arnold who is defending his title.

SupremeCF: Well Jon thank you for your time. You shed some light on some areas for us that I know I have wondered about since you came in and appreciate your time.

Steals: Thank you for having me!
